After initial enrolment you will be reminded to book/pay for subsequent months. You don’t need to Enrol again. The process is as follows:
1. Log in to www.dancealong.com.au
Want to pay for more than 1 month at a time?
There’s 2 ways to pay for multiple months at a time or to change the number of months you wish to pay for.
a) At the Checkout, before actually paying, just repeat the booking process from Step 2 Find your Class in FAQ How to pay for subsequent months.
b) At the Checkout, click on ‘Continue Shopping’
Then at the next screen, click on ‘View Cart’
Then at the Cart, click the ‘+’ sign to increase the number of months, followed by ‘Update Cart’, and ‘Proceed to Checkout’
If you wish to reduce the number of months, then click ‘-‘ instead.
NO, not yet, but we’re hoping to introduce it in the future at some stage.
If it is introduced, you will be able to decide if you’d like an automatic subscription, or whether you’d prefer to have manual control to pay each month on our website yourself.
So in the meantime, you need to log on and book (pay) each month to stay enrolled. We’ll remind you with an email when it’s due.
If you’d prefer, you can pay for multiple months in the 1 booking (See FAQ above), so that you don’t have to log on every month to pay.
A standard Junior Kids class (from 2 years + to 5 years) is a 30 minute action packed, dance, music and drama class and costs $10.
A Tinies class (from 18mths to 2 1/2 yrs) is a 15 minute class full of dancing, music and drama fun and tailored to suit this younger age. The cost is only $5.
Our Hall class cost $12 for 30 minutes. (There is a surcharge to cover the cost of the hall rental).
We call our classes Dance Adventures! Each week we take the children on an exciting interactive and engaging exploration of a theme. A highlight of each class is our Tactile Learning Activity time, when each child can get hands on with an interesting prop, such as puppets, ribbons, parachutes, balls, hoops, instruments and many more. Our Special Things always tie in with the adventure at hand and develop children’s motor skills whilst delighting them at the same time!
There are many exciting themes explored over the huge 65 lesson curriculum:
We revisit each theme 3 times within a unit, so the children experience the joy of remembering those dances and topics and each time there are different Special Things for the theme and a slightly different adventure.
It’s a very Multi-Cultural educational, exciting and engaging program for the children!
The main purpose of DanceAlong classes is to help develop your child in a number of areas, motor skills, social skills, cognitive skills, to aid in preparation for school and life.
We do however note that parents appreciate the opportunity to watch their child enjoying the dancing fun.
There are a number of ways for you to observe your child in action.
So, yes we have a small concert at the end of the year at your Child Care Centre. Your instructor will let you know the date towards this time of year.
There is no cost for this centre concert and we provide the costumes free of charge!
There may be other opportunities to see your child perform throughout the year such as:
If for some reason on the day of the concert, your child decides against performing, please support your child in that decision and let them watch the others and perhaps dance along near you instead. Sometimes very young children especially may do this. If you don’t make a big deal out of their not wanting to dance, we usually find that in subsequent concerts, they gain confidence and are more likely to then join in with the concert fun.
